How to do EFT
EFT is a simple process, which is quite longwinded to describe!
To explain it as simply as I can, EFT is a process that tunes the brain into the problem by talking about it, then clears the energy field of the problem by activating the meridian system which is done by tapping on the ends of specific meridian points. It sounds weird and looks daft - but - my goodness, it works!
We begin by tapping the 'karate chop' point on the side of the hand. We tune in our brain by making a statement, that 'even though we have "x" problem, we accept ourselves'.
Then we tap lightly with the fingers on several points on the face and body, the edge of the eyebrow - next to the nose, then the outer edge of the eye, then under the eye, under the nose, in the indent of the chin, under the collarbone and then under the armpit. All the time we continue to remind our brain of the problem by repeating part of the initial statement, and we continue to tap until we think there is a change in the way we feel.
We measure the change in SUD's, - subjective units of distress. Change is often felt as a release of tension, a sudden realisation that our worries are not realistic, or by a 're-frame' of our memories so we can suddenly see the situation from a new point of view.
EFT is simple, often painless, can be self-administered, easy and economical to learn, and amazingly effective. One just needs to let go of scepticism and give it a try!
